The chatter quickly gained traction, fueled by their shared prominence in Hollywood. However, both stars swiftly shut down the gossip. Ortega took to Instagram, calling the dating rumors “ridiculous”. She clarified she had never even met Johnny Depp.
At the same time, Johnny Depp and his representatives labeled the story as “baseless” and entirely fabricated. It did lead to many people speculating the two would have good chemistry on camera.

If they ever were in a relationship, there would’ve been plenty of relationship stresses during the filming of Wednesday.
